Purchasing Process

At Floating Axe Border Collies, we have taken a family passion, and turned it into a successful breeding business. Purchasing a Border Collie from us will involve a few steps before your puppy can come home with you. The breeder reserves the right for first pick of a puppy in each litter. You will be able to select which puppy (or puppies) based on a first come - first served basis.

1) The process of purchasing a puppy begins with us getting to know a little bit about you, what your intentions are with a puppy, and why you’re wanting a Border Collie. We will also ask you questions like, have you already had a Border Collie or what kind of place do you live? Cities aren’t very ideal for a Border Collie.

2) You will be able to pick out the puppy you want based on when you inquired about a puppy. The first person to inquire about a female puppy has first pick out of the females, same goes for the males.

3) If you're definitely interested in a Border Collie, we would ask you to submit a $200 deposit. We require people to submit a deposit so that the puppy can be reserved for you. The $200 deposit is non-refundable. This is to guarantee we find people who are seriously interested in a Floating Axe Border Collie. Please take time to consider whether a Floating Axe Border Collie is right for you before you place a deposit. The deposit will go toward the full amount that you owe for your new puppy. If you were to submit a deposit on a litter and not enough pups were born, then you can wait for our next litter and have first pick from that litter, or we would be willing to work with you on it, just please contact us!

4) The remaining amount will be due at the time you pick up your puppy or beforehand. The amount per litter may vary depending upon the potential ability (working or agility), or the pedigree of the litter. We hope you'll consider one of our puppies for your family!

Please read all the information about our purchasing process and the article on Border Collies that is under the Information section. We want you to be 100% sure that a Border Collie is right for you. A lot of people just see Border Collies for their strengths and believe that they are the right dog for them. I just want people to make sure they know what they're getting themselves into before they purchase a puppy and it turns out badly. If you are positive a Border Collie is best for you and are up for a challenge, then please contact us for more information. Don't hesitate to contact us with your questions! We are willing to answer any of the questions you may have!
